Kyra Minturn

 KyraMinturn Sedgwickwas born on 19th August, 1965 is an American actor. Her role as the main character on TNT's crime drama The Closer as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson is her most well-known. Sedgwick earned a Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her performance as Johnson and an Emmy Award 2010 for her portrayal. The show ended on August 13, 2012, after the conclusion of the seventh season. Sedgwick is also famous for her recurring character in the role of Madeline Wuntch, on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated to the Golden Globe award in 1995 for her performance in Something to Talk About. Sedgwick's other film roles include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's The Ones (1992) The Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) as well as What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was born in New York City to Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), who works as a speech/family therapist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick as a venture investor. Her mother was Jewish. Her dad was Episcopalian of English descent. Sedgwick has stated that she is Jewish and has been a participant in Passover meals.
