My life has been shaped by the Baylor friends and acquaintances I've met. Karen Pope in Art History. My most important classes were taught by Dr. Pope. I also took her on trips to Chicago and Paris to study art. Her enthusiasm for art was an enjoyable experience. She also stated that "Art history is like the puzzle. For us as art historians, we always continue to search for the pieces that fit together." My family was brought up in the automotive business by my father, and was required to work at the dealership every summer. One summer, I worked as a mechanic's assistant replacing brake pads as well as oil.
